Seniors of Elevate

Presenting to you our senior girls of Elevate (not full attendance) πŸ₯°.

SIDC over the weekend. Finally back on-stage after 3 years. Glad to be back in the theatre with big stage, lights and audience. This year, more senior girls i.e. 18-30 years old, decided to participate in the competition despite their busy full time work & school. It’s not an easy feat but we did it. Winning is never my core for comps but the passion & love for stage is. My heart is definitely full seeing my dancers rocking the stage. Thank you all students, parents, husbands, bfs for believing in Elevate & the support past 10 years & more. We’ll take dance beyond the stage!!

❣️Ms LangLey

Hong Kong Challenge Cup – Dec 2020

Hong Kong Challenge Cup Dance Competition (Video Filming) – December 2020. Congratulations to all students who participated despite all difficulties, challenges and a roller coaster year. It is a year where we didn’t manage to travel overseas for competitions, but instead year 2020 has been a year of online competitions for the dance/ballet community.

Elevate sent in 2 groups of dances of different age groups; one in Lyrical style (age 16-19) and the other in Choreography Fusion (age 20-29). Both groups are fully trained classical ballet students and they came back with Bronze Awards. Well Done to all students! Good work! And thank you to the choreographers/teachers, Ms Cheryl Tan and Ms Joyce Lim for your hard work and fantastic choreography. More pictures here.

Taipei Dance Exchange – 24th – 29th Nov 2019

Some of our higher grades girls went to Taipei for a dance exchange from 24th – 29th November 2019. There, we participated in an intensive week of ballet focusing solely on the Vaganova ballet technique. We also spent an evening at a street dance school for open classes. The girls had a blast and fulfilling trip; attending ballet, conditioning, pointe, variations, contemporary, jazz funk and hip hop classes. Not forgetting, shopping and eating around the city.

At Elevate, we aim to organise at least one overseas immersion trip every year as part of our extension programme. More photos and video.

Brisbane Dance Immersion – 11th – 15th Dec 2017

Elevate believes in a truly holistic dance education through international dance examinations, stage exposure, local excursions, and overseas immersion programme, all the while developing a great sense of discipline, artistic appreciation and resilience.

It was a success in organising an oversea immersion programme to Brisbane from 11th to 15th December 2017. Our students and friends had an enriching and interesting week of inspirational dance workshops. We attended classes/workshops with Mad Dance House and Claudia Dean Coaching. The students also had the chance to watch the Queensland Ballet’s The Nutcracker. It was a definite eye-opener for some of the students.

This programme could not have been done without our ever-supportive parents & passionate students. Thank you all.!
