A group of our dedicated young dancers, aged 8 to 10, had the opportunity to take part in a meaningful and inspiring journey through our Taipei Dance Exchange Program from 7th to 12th September 2025. Blending rigorous dance training with rich cultural exploration, the trip provided an immersive experience that broadened their horizons both artistically and personally.
The heart of the exchange focused on deepening the dancers’ classical technique through an intensive introduction to Vaganova ballet training. Under the guidance of experienced faculty in Taipei, our students participated in daily ballet classes that emphasised clean alignment, musicality, and expressive movement, paired with conditioning sessions designed to strengthen developing bodies and promote healthy, sustainable technique. To complement their classical training, students were also introduced to other genres including modern, jazz, choreography, hip-hop, and locking — expanding their creative expression and developing adaptability across different styles. It was a joy to witness their excitement and confidence growing as they embraced unfamiliar movement with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Beyond the studio, the group explored the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavours of Taipei. From wandering the colourful night markets, enjoying local Taiwanese delicacies and bubble tea, to spending a fun-filled day at a local amusement park, every moment added to the sense of adventure and cultural discovery. These shared experiences created meaningful connections and lifelong memories for both students and accompanying adults.
This dance exchange was more than just a training program, it was a celebration of growth, cultural appreciation, and community. We are incredibly proud of our young dancers. The lessons and experiences gained in Taipei will no doubt stay with them for years to come.
