Wong Xin Yi

Commencing Classical Ballet at the age of 5, Xin Yi has found her passion for dance at a young age and has been training under Ms Lang Ley. Aspiring to be more diverse, she exposed herself to other dance styles namely modern theatre, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, Chinese dance and K Pop.

Xin Yi graduated with a Bachelors of Communication (Professional Communication) and is currently working full time as a freelance video editor, while continuing her dance training in RAD Ballet Advanced levels and ISTD Modern Theatre. She has also completed the Progressive Pointe Method – Basic Training in pointe shoes fitting by The Pointe Shop USA. She participated in local and overseas programmes, intensives and competitions, and awarded placements in Hong Kong Challenge Cup – Gold medalist, Get The Beat Singapore and Singapore International Dance Competition. All these exposure and experience allowed her to grow tremendously as a dancer and dance teacher.

She believes that in dance, discipline, resilience and understanding the body anatomy is crucial as to prevent injuries, and to fully strengthen and implement any dance techniques and skillsets.
