Biography

Dance has always been an essential part of Joyce’s life, rooted in her passion for movement and self-expression. She began her journey at the age of 4 with ballet, and has been training under Ms Lang Ley. Over the years, expanded her skills by exploring a wide range of styles, including Street, Jazz, Hip Hop and Lyrical. By blending these various genres, she developed a unique style that is distinctly her own.

In addition to her dedication to dance, Joyce graduated with a degree in Business from Nanyang Technological University and works as a full-time Marketing Executive, while continuing her dance training in RAD Ballet Advanced, balancing her professional career with her passion for dance. Her commitment to the art form has led to impressive accomplishments on both national and international stages. Joyce’s accolades include the Champion & Platinum Medal with Invitation at International Arts Festival Grand Final 2025, Gold Medal for her Classical variation in IAF 2024 as well as multiple Gold and Silver medals in Lyrical, Ballet, and Jazz at various competitions like HKCCDC, ADAF, and IAF between 2023 and 2024.

Throughout her career, Joyce has gained valuable experience in both self-choreography and large group choreography, taking part in numerous competitions and performances. Joyce has also made her mark as a choreographer, particularly through her work with Elevate Dance Academie. Some of her notable group performances include Gold Medal in Group Contemporary Style at HKCCDC 2025, Bronze in Group Open Style at HKCCDC 2020 and choreographing pieces such as “The Hunt” for Carousel of Hearts in 2022 and “Gods” for Palettes in Motion in 2024. With a solid foundation in diverse dance styles, Joyce is passionate about teaching and guiding her students to explore their creativity, refine their techniques, and experience the joy of self-expression through dance.
