JAMIE LIEW

Jamie began dancing at the age of 5 and has trained with Ms. Lang Ley ever since. Starting with ballet and later exploring modern/jazz, she has expanded her passion to include Contemporary, Lyrical, and Jazz. To Jamie, dance is more than just an art form – it’s a powerful way to cultivate discipline, resilience, and other important life values.

 

A graduate with a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education, Jamie is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She continues her training in RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern Theatre at the Advanced Levels. A Distinction holder in both Classical Ballet and Advanced Modern Theatre, Jamie has been a soloist for many years and has competed locally and internationally. Notable achievements include 3rd Place at the Canadian World Ballet Art Competition, Gold and Silver Medals from Hong Kong, and Bronze at the Asia Dance Arts Festival in ballet, modern, and contemporary categories.

 

With her background in Early Childhood Development and Education, Jamie aims to combine her knowledge and skills to nurture young dancers. Her goal is to not only teach proper dance techniques but also instil values like discipline and resilience. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where young dancers can develop a lifelong love for dance.
